“I stayed at the Fairburn Hotel recently along with my farther in law and son whilst walking the River Ayr Way, arriving tired and wet after a 22 mile hike. We were met by friendly staff and a very cosy and inviting bar, the rooms were immaculate and more than adequate for some well weary travelers, dinner was very nice washed down by a few equally well received pints, I have stayed in many many Hotels and the Fairburn struck me as run by people who want to impress and its the little details that always count the hotel has a very nice and welcoming atmosphere and for me gets my vote, the only complaint any of us had was the prospect of having to walk another 22 miles after a fantastic big fry !! Thanks for a great stay.”

Nice Surprise
“We were quite pleased with this stay. Reasonable price, room new inside and bright. Best part though was at no point did we ever feel pressured to spend more on anything – a real treat. Staff were eager to help, offer anything we liked for breakfast for example and never charge a penny extra or even have us sign anything until checkout – amazing – have never seen this anywhere and I hope these nice people don’t get ripped off sometime.”

“Beautifully decorated throughout. Room very spacious, every facility all new bathroom fittings and very clean. Restaurant food very good and staff attentive. Even has a cocktail bar. Do not be put off by outside view when you arrive. Inside is beautifully and tastefully decorated.”

“The Fairburn seems to have been recently renovated and all the rooms were of high specification. The owners and the staff were helpful and more than willing to accommodate. We had a very pleasant stay and would recommend the hotel to anyone traveling to the area. The restaurant and bar were also very convenient and good value for money. Thanks for a great stay!”

Great Wee Place
“We stayed for a night while attending a function nearby. The check in was quick and easy, our room was ready when we arrived early, which was a bonus.
We choose to spend some time in the bar, service was great. For dinner, I’d taken on board what other reviewers said, it’s advisable to book for dinner. I’m glad we did, as it’s very popular and was totally full when we ate.
The room was great, just what we needed, very comfy beds, hairdryer, tea making facility etc.
Breakfast was great in the morning, nice friendly service and good food. I’d recommend this place to anyone, and will stay again if in the area.”
